• eliminates the hassle. You don’t have to figure out the country code or incur the cost of a long distance call. You don’t have to worry about whether the person answering the phone speaks English. You don’t have to wire transfer fees to a foreign bank account to secure a deposit.

• is safe. You’re bookings are made through paypal, an Ebay company, so you don’t have to worry about fraud.

• helps you organize your travel. Once a booking is made through the system it is automatically logged in your OTR Organizer so you can keep track of all the enquiries you’ve made and the bookings you’ve confirmed.

• supports OTR so we can continue to provide you with trusted recommendations & advice from local experts.

How it works:

• On the hotel page, which you access from the city page, click on the ‘booking enquiry’ button and enter your details

• When the hotel responds you will receive an email in your personal email and your OTR messages letting you know that your enquiry has been attended to

• Log in to your personal reservations page to see the status of your reservation: Pending, Approved, Denied or Pending / Cancelled.

• Click on ‘accept’ to confirm the reservation by paying a 10% deposit (this will be through PayPal, so you can either use a credit card or simply use your PayPal account)

• Pay the balance owing when you check out from your stay*

* some partners may require an additional deposit as the date of your reservation approaches. You will be notified prior to booking if this is the case.
