About The Southern Coast
The Southern Coast is a good place to take in some Pacific breeze, surf the ocean’s wake and relax amongst a unique desert landscape. Best Time to go
Note for travelers: please see our blog about the recent earthquake in Peru and the effects it has had on this area.
You will find sun and warmth all year round in Paracas and Nazca. Precipitation is never a problem due to its location in the middle of an arid desert. You may occasionally find some drizzle or ‘garúa’ in Paracas during the winter months. Average temperatures in both places are 27°C in the warmer months of December to March and 18°C in the winter (June to September). The sun does beat down quite strongly so dress accordingly on days when you will be out on a boat or doing excursions. Check out monthly temperatures and precipitation in Peru.
