You will not remember the town of Nazca for its food. The hotels in town offer better restaurant options so you will likely end up eating at your hotel. There are a couple of basic options in town, though nothing outstanding. 'El Huarango', on Calle Arica 602, serves cheap lunches at 5 soles and a more touristy option is 'El Portón'. Across the street from the Casa Andina Hotel, two blocks away from the main square, is a pub called ‘Boulevard Plaza Café & Bar’ that serves appetizers and drinks.
In Paracas, the kitchen at the Hotel Paracas is decent and you can eat there even if you’re not staying at the hotel. They have a nice pool-side restaurant where you can relax and take in the breeze from the nearby ocean. For more low-key, affordable options, head to El Chaco, the local beach town. Here you will find a long lineup of simple seafood restaurants, all at very affordable prices. ‘Brisa Marina’ is very clean and the food is fresh. It serves all types of fish, ceviche for 15 soles, aguadito for 15 soles, and the menú del día is 22 soles, which includes a starter and main dish, usually fish. |
