Description
This old hacienda, once used as a Franciscan convent, today boasts 10 hectares of green land where fruit is grown for consumption by their guests. Once owned by the La Borda family, who own a chain of hotels in Peru, the hotel was purchased in 2005 by an independent owner who has turned it around and has done numerous renovations. Though some areas are still rundown and undergoing renovation, most rooms have already been completed and are decorated beautifully with a traditional Peruvian flavour. Animals and birds can be seen around the property, including peacocks, two alpacas, a horse and little parrots.

Indoors the place has a number of cozy rooms for lounging, including an indoor bar for the winter and a play room with tables for cards or board games. Outdoors a pleasant pool is next to the main garden.

Insider Tips
Transfers from the town of Nasca can be arranged with their trusted taxis for 5 soles.

A guard is on watch all nights and they are considering setting up security cameras around the property and working with a security agency for increased security measures.

Benefits
- The beautiful, quiet surroundings, make this a great place to spend time simply relaxing.

Drawbacks
- secluded from the main town, this is not the best place to plan independent excursions from but you should have a day tour planned if you want to see the surroundings. Talk to the hotel about arranging this.
- the hotel’s isolated location raises the concern about safety until they put their new security measures in place
- you will have to rely on the hotel to make arrangements for getting in and out of the lodge due to its remote location

Rooms
Each room is decorated individually and they all face the various gardens around the property, making them well-ventilated and fresh. All have fans and heaters, for the winter evenings. Beds are sturdy and comfortable and rooms fairly spacious, with writing tables and ensuite bathrooms. Bathrooms are clean, with showers, only a few have baths, with hot water.
Singles US$65, Doubles US$80, Triples US$100, Quadruples US$120 include breakfast and tax

Food
The main restaurant is in one of the courtyards and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner until 10.30pm. Breakfast can be delayed until after the flight over the Lines if you’ve got a weak stomach or an early flight.
