The dining scene in the Sacred Valley has not quite hit the height that the hotels have created. There are only a handful of restaurants that stand out, while the rest either cater to tour bus stops or have little characteristic to distinguish them. Travelers generally eat at their hotel restaurants since dining out requires a taxi ride to town. In Urubamba town there are a couple venues around the Plaza des Armas that are worth trying: The Muse Too, which is the sister restaurant / bar to The Muse in Cusco, and Café Cusco. Ollantaytambo has a handful of restaurants, primarily geared to tourists. There are a few exceptions as noted below.
I will eat from the least expensive place I can find.
No record.
I am not that interested in food, I like to eat where I can get familiar foods at a reasonable price.
