Description
Located in the bohemian neighbourhood of San Blas and inspired by 'One Hundred years of Solitude', Macondo's colorful magic will charm you from the minute you walk through the front door. The novoandean and jungle cuisine menu - featuring Alpaca Mignon (25 soles), Trout in Dijon Sauce (26 soles), and Juanes (a dish from the Peruvian jungle with rice, chicken and salsa wrapped in a Bijao, similar to a banana, leaf) for 25 soles - was designed by the owner, Norma Pena, and makes Macondo a great representative of Peru's culinary art in Cusco.
Macondo's interior design with bright red and blue walls, candles and an art gallery ambiance, is the scene for occasional exhibits from young artists, both local and international, offering a fusion between the concept of art and gastronomy in a modern ambiance.
