Greens Organic Restaurant

Located right above another OTR favourite, Incanto (Santa Catalina Angosta Street), Greens Organic Restaurant provides a great option, one of the few in Cusco, for those organic food lovers seeking to nourish both their spirit and body. In the words of the owner, Rafael Casabonne, this is a ‘vegetarian & friends’ restaurant, so if you’re not strictly vegetarian you may want to add an organic chicken fillet or the traditional ‘ají de gallina’.

Soft music, beautiful plants, candlelight, wooden floors and ceilings, create the perfect atmosphere to experience the healthy feeling of Greens’ ‘magic table’ – the freshest products prepared daily and served on a buffet table: fritattas, quiches, varied salads and home made bread, all for 30 soles. If you want a main course with this, add an extra 15 soles.

Their dishes encompass a fusion of various culinary influences – Italian, Peruvian and Asian, among others. We tried their beautiful Arugula Ravioli with goat cheese, nuts and beets (35 soles). The house also recommends their Spaguetthi Pomodoro with candied bell peppers, sun-dried tomatoes and pesto sauce (28 soles); the Peruvian Style Portobello Mushroom Stirfry served with french fries and whole grain rice (35 soles), and the Garlic and Lemon crusted Rack of Lamb, served with a cumin sweet potato mash and balsamic and mint reduction sauce (40 soles).

Among their nicest soups we found the Avocado and Ginger soup with wasabi foam (18 soles) and their classic Peruvian Quinoa soup (also 18 soles).

Their desserts are also delicious - white chocolate and nut milk cold soup (13 soles) or their fruit and barley compote (9 soles).
