Description
Granja Heidi (Heidi's Farm) offers delicious, fresh meals and friendly service at an excellent value. Owned and run by a German couple, Gudrun and Karl Heinz, this restaurant uses fresh ingredients and produce (cheese, yogurt, milk, etc) that come straight from the farm they maintain on the outskirts of Cusco. The restaurant is actually named after Heidi, a mule who lives on the farm!

When you’re climbing up Cuesta San Blas, Granja Heidi’s is tucked away on the left side of the street on the second floor. It’s a bit hidden, so be careful not to miss it. Nice wooden stairs will take you to the entrance where the high ceiling, bright yellow walls, and naturally illuminated ambiance will immediately relax you and put you in the mood to eat nutritious and healthy food.

Apart from their generous, tasty breakfasts, including crepes and fresh yogurt for 9 soles, they have a great set meal lunch (vegetarian or non-vegetarian) for 15 soles, including an appetizer, soup, main course, dessert, and lemonade or chicha morada (black corn beverage). The menu also offers a good selection of quiches (vegetables or ham and cheese for 5 soles), salads (chicken salad for 10 soles) and vegetarian meals (stuffed peppers for 18 soles).

Of course, their desserts are home-baked and exquisite…go for their famous Nelson Mandela chocolate cake (5 soles).
