Don Esteban & Don Pancho

Peru > Cusco > Restaurants > Don Esteban & Don Pancho

Description
It's difficult to find good pastries and desserts in Cusco, but Don Esteban & Don Pancho has a delicious selection of these and more. They also offer baked goods, quiches, sandwiches, salads and pasta dishes. Try 'La Santa' sandwich (baked turkey, caramelized onions, mozzarella cheese and mushrooms - 10 soles), the Fusion Salad with lettuce, tomatoes, chilli, bell pepper, Asian beans, tangerine, wonton, peanuts and grilled chicken (11 soles), or the Sacred Valley Spaghetti with serrano ham, tomato, white wine and cream. The chocolate mousse is exquisite (7 soles). Owned by Edgar Ojeda, the bakery conserves the old baking recipes of Don Esteban and Don Pancho, Edgar's grandparents, who travelled around Peru learning and teaching the secrets of their trade.

Insider Tips
There is also a location on the outskirts of downtown Cusco, in Av. La Cultura. The owners are planning to open a Peruvian restaurant in the main square later this year.
