Description
This restaurant, for many the best in Cusco city, is located on the second floor of a Colonial house, only 2 blocks away from the main square. Cicciolina gives the traveller the opportunity to try superb food in a cozy, warm environment surrounded by red and yellow walls adorned with chilis and garlic, a counter-top bar with stools and a more elegant little dining room. Cicciolina’s menu was prepared by Luis Alberto Schilotto, the chef from La Gloria (one of the best restaurants in Lima) and offers a great selection of pasta (tagliatelli in a four pepper sauce for 31 soles), an excellent tapas bar (grilled Mediterranean octopus for 25 soles), main dishes like beef in gorgonzola and sauco sauce (45 soles) and exquisite desserts like their ‘semifredo de lúcuma’ for 20 soles. They even have their own bakery on the first floor, with the best bread and baked goods in Cusco. Try their rye bread or their delicious mini ciabattas (1.5 per piece aprox.), along with an omelette of your choice. Cicciolina’s wine list is more limited than Baco’s (Cicciolina’s sister restaurant), but was carefully chosen by Tammy and Jose Francisco, the owners.
