The concept of quaint and cozy accommodation has not quite made its way to Xela yet, with the exception of Casa Mañen which is by far the best option available. Rooms are scarce on Thursday evenings when travelers leave Chichi to come here to see the market in San Francisco el Alto on Friday - so book early. Inexpensive rooms are often rented at cheap monthly prices, thus attracting students who stay for longer periods of time to study Spanish. Hotels in this range are often completely booked for weeks at a time during the summer period.
I want to stay at the closest thing I can find to a hostel without staying in a group dorm.
No record.
I really don't need many luxuries, but I want somewhere that is quiet and homey and moderately priced.
