Description
Follow the small dirt paths that trace the shoreline and you will arrive at Aaculaax's intricate garden, which has been thoughtfully designed to compliment the hotel's rooms. Built in mid-2003, this hotel is unique in the town, and perhaps even on the Lake. It all starts with the name, which is the Mayan translation of the German owner's name, Neils. All of the rooms are ornately decorated with stained-glasswork that is produced from the on-site workshop. Throughout the garden you will find small tables and sitting areas with stained-glass inlaid. There is a small, communal kitchen for guests use and a new beach-volleyball court where locals and guests can play.
