Description
A few blocks from the park you’ll find this small café-restaurant that specializes in food from the Verapaz region, mixing indigenous and western flavors. “A space where nature and culture meet” Xkape Kob’an boasts a beautiful garden and handicrafts for sale from all over Guatemala (even some from Costa Rica, Peru and Bolivia). The menu is varied and includes great dishes such as the B’acha, which refers to an ancient cooking method where food is wrapped in banana leaves and cooked over a fire.
Insider Tips
The Mesoamerican drinks are also worth trying although the Pinol’s crunchy consistency might not be for everyone! (Pinol is made with maize and crushed pumpkin seeds)
