Description
A great place to hang out on a rainy day, Quesos Y Vino serves up a wide variety of fresh soups (35Q), salads (30-40Q), pizzas (3 different sizes; 40Q for a small up to 120Q for a family size), pastas (40-60Q) antipastos and other appetizers (20-50Q) and a small, but tasty dessert menu. Most meals are accompanied by the trademark fresh and warm sourdough bread. Quesos Y Vino lives up to its libatious name offering wines from Chile, Argentina, Italy, Spain, Germany and France mainly by the bottles. Prices for wine are reasonable (200Q for a nice Cotes du Rhone and less for other varietals). The restaurant consists of a small front room with bistro tables offering a nice people-watching spot for the solo traveler, and 3 distinct rooms in the rear of the restaurant with round and long tables to accommodate parties of any size. The staff is incredibly friendly and jovial, and seems to be having as good, if not a better time than the restaurant's patrons.
Insider Tips
While the wine by the bottle list is substantial, unfortunately wines by the glass are only offered in the house wine, which is generally a Chilean varietal. If you want to escape smokers sit near the front of the restaurant.
