Description
This charming hotel stands out on the block for its blue exterior (hence the name). The interior is much the same, with pale pink trim providing a Caribbean / Mediterranean feel. It may sound a little out of place, but the decor is tasteful and welcoming. The hotel itself is 8 years old, owned by a family from Mexico that now lives in Guatemala City. The staff here is friendly and helpful, although minimal English is spoken. The hotel itself is like a tiny village with narrow passageways leading to rooms and quiet, hidden sitting areas and gardens. Towards the back of the property is a pool as well as a sauna and jacuzzi for relaxation. Beyond the entrance is a cozy family room where guests can mingle or relax with a book from the hotels collection.
