Description
Named after a character of Brazilian literature, this restaurant is about as fine dining as it will get in Pelourinho. It is fancy and pricey, but a nice quiet little spot off the main plaza. The garden patio out back is a less formal environment where you can enjoy an evening meal. Service is professional and English menus are available. An interesting collection of mirrors as well as local artwork decorates the walls. There is a lovely couvert (that you will be charged for) with warmed bread and different spreads. The dishes come beautifully presented with the artistic touch of the surrounding neighborhood. Unfortunately they don't always taste as good. Meats R$30 - 40; Fish R$30 - 75.
Insider Tips
Avoid the tuna as it can be terribly overcooked. Stick to the Bahian specialties such as the moquecas.
