Description
Excellent, inexpensive Bahian food. Run by Manoel dos Santos Pereira, who began cooking for friends and family at his summer home on the island of Itaparica. Before long Manoel and his family had built a very reputable restaurant and moved it across the bay to Salvador. Today, in its new digs, Axego serves up some of the best Bahian food in Salvador.
Insider Tips
As with most Bahian restaurants, dishes here are designed to feed two people. Sundays you can find traditional Feijoada and on Fridays there is Bahian caruru.
