Pousada do Pilar

Brazil > Salvador > Hotels > Pousada do Pilar

Description
Pousada do Pilar's fresh, clean look is accompanied by tasteful decor that incorporates modern comforts and European design while maintaining a traditional feel. The lobby is a high-ceilinged colonial living room and there's always a thermos of coffee so you can grab a cafezinho anytime. Since six of the eight owners are Italian (the other two are Brazilian) and the architect German, it makes sense to see the steel central staircase and mod lighting, not to mention an elevator (very unusual in these parts!!) and to hear plenty of French and Italian over breakfast. Overall, the attentive service and attention to detail makes this is a welcoming, comfortable hotel.

All rooms are spacious, and the suites are downright enormous. Wood floors, bright sun streaming in the French doors and windows, comfortable beds, sofa-bed and simple, yet fine wooden furniture (including table and chairs) make each room a place you'll be glad to go 'home' to.
