Description
Conveniently located two blocks from the Porto da Barra (beach) on a quiet, residential street, Pousada Azul (Blue Inn) is a wonderful place to stay. It is notable for its cleanliness, both in terms of housekeeping and style, but also because the owner, Beatriz, has given the inn many thoughtful and tasteful touches from high quality bedding and mattresses to the colorful place settings on the breakfast table. This 13-room pousada, located in a house dating back to the 1940s with its blue accents, hard-wood floors and simple, well-designed furniture has a homey, peaceful feeling. All the rooms, on three floors (no elevator) have different sizes and layouts. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient and the upkeep is excellent. Beatriz speaks English, German and some Italian and Spanish. Most of the guests are European.
