The house specialty is the galetos (spit-roasted chicken) but the picanha (steak) is also delicious. Service is good and the food comes quickly but if you’re hungry while you’re waiting, order a linguiça (sausage). In Brazil, avocado is eaten with sugar but Galeto’s Copa Rio serves salad with avocado—worth ordering. Make the meal complete by getting some of the traditional side dishes: rice, beans, farofa (manioc flour, try it with banana!) and couve (kale).
Two people can eat well for under R$40, including drinks and dessert. |
