Description
This centrally located hotel is a great option in this category - only two blocks from the beach and right in the center of the main shopping district in Ipanema. It is a short walk to many of the best restaurants as well. The lobby is modern and welcoming, as is the staff, who are friendly and courteous, and most of whom speak English well.

Benefits
- Excellent location, very close to Ipanema beach, and within walking distance to many of the neighborhoods attractions.

Drawbacks
- Rua Visconde de Piraja is a main street and can get very loud with the traffic below.
- This hotel is listed in the Lonely Planet guide, which could make arranging reservations difficult during peak travel times.

There are 80 rooms in total, all of which are spacious and comfortable with A/C, minibar, cable TV, telephone, safe and high speed Internet (not wireless). The bathroom is decent, but not large. It does, however, come complete with bathroom amenities including hair dryer. Rates January through March: Standard R$319, Superior R$339, Deluxe R$359; April through June: Standard R$299, Superior R$319, Deluxe R$339. Includes breakfast. City tax (5%) not included in rates. Same price for single or double.

Food
Breakfast is served in the adjoining cafe where lunch and dinner can also be ordered.

Quad rooms are available for those traveling with children. Children under two stay free.
