Description
This hotel is a far stretch from luxury, but does provide an inexpensive alternative along Ipanema's main shopping strip and is only two blocks from the beach in one direction and Ipanema's 'restaurant row' in the other. The people at the front desk are friendly and English speaking and will be happy to help you out with any questions you have. There is a small bar with a TV, but it’s not a particularly inviting area. The bartender, however, makes an excellent caipirinha which you will receive compliments of the hotel upon your arrival. There is a small business center at the end of the bar with two computer terminals that guests must pay to use.

Drawbacks
- The rooms are very small and the hotel itself lacks character.
- The elevators are rather abrupt and tend to get confused when too many people are waiting, so brace yourself.

Rooms
The rooms are tiny providing adequate space for one person, but if you are two you may find it a little cramped. The decor reminds you a bit of a hospital with its institutional pale green and white interior. The bathrooms are small with temperamental showers that make it difficult to find a happy median. The rooms can get a bit loud at night, but the air conditioner is so loud that the noise may drown out any street noise. Rates, depending on season: Single R$124 - 170; Doubles R$155 - 199; Slightly more for a triple. Includes breakfast and all taxes. Payment in Brazilian reais (R$) only.

Food
Breakfast is included and is served buffet-style, each morning in the bar area. It includes fruit, rolls, some pastries, cold cuts and cheese.
