Description
One of the newest pousadas on the island, Pousada Teju-Açu is a quaint yet luxurious ecolodge located on the route to Conceicao Beach. This unique posada features 6 units (two bungalows per unit) that resemble upscale tree houses made from eco-friendly reforested wood.
Teju-Açu‘s pool area is a great place for relaxing after a day of exploring Noronha’s many exotic beaches or dive sites. Charming night lamps and welcoming mattresses decorate the area providing the perfect option for a lazy afternoon or after–dinner drink.

Drawbacks
The pousada’s location in the forest brings you closer to mosquitoes during the rainy season so don’t forget to bring your mosquito repellent.
You will not have direct access to the beach here as the pousada is located closer to the main road than the coast.
Rooms
Teju-Açu has 6 superior bungalows (called Teju-Açu) located on the top floor of each unit and 6 standard bungalows (called Teju) located on the bottom floor of each unit. The main difference between each type of bungalow is the view they have of the ocean. Each bungalow opens to the lovely inner courtyard surrounding the pool and includes self-controlled air conditioning, satellite TVs, wifi access and a private balcony with hammock. Water is solar heated.
Each room has been decorated with local art from Recife and other regions of Northeastern Brazil featuring an interesting choice of art and fabrics such as the lamps made from onionskins.

Food
The restaurant is located in the courtyard by the pool area and is only partially-enclosed, allowing guests to dine under the starry skies of Noronha. Lunch and dinner are both served from the same menu but the staff is more than happy to accommodate special requests for you or your children.
Local breakfast delicacies such as tapioca and “cuscus” (Brazilian-style manioc cake) are included in the room rate and are served buffet-style. Native fruits including caju and guava and can also be found growing organically in Teju-Açu’s backyard.
Teju-Açu’s is known for its flavourful, exotic experiments with “Petit gateau”, a type of dessert. Their most popular effort is made of guava and cheese but if you are a banana fan, you should also try the banana and cinnamon flavour. This creation is inspired by a popular dessert in Brazil called Romeu & Julietta (because the combinations are perfect for each other… ;)
Children
Children are welcome here. One child up to 5 years old in room with parents is free. Children between the ages of 5-12 are charged 50% of the standard price.
