The same areas visited at “Images of Buenos Aires” tour are here appointed in a more thorough mode, while other areas and sites are added. Downtown and the southern districts are visited during the morning. Our Journey continues –after having lunch- by going along the Northern districts of the city. Buenos Aires experience tour includes the visit to important squares, colonial churches, traditional cafes, main neighbourhoods, colourfully painted tin houses, glass towers and large avenues, palaces of the so called “belle époque” as well as parks. Furthermore, through this whole day experience the following subjects are referred at: Tango, Soccer, Peronism, Argentinean crisis’ causes, architectonic evolution of the city, café culture and other key topics for a complete understanding of this ever changing metropolis.
Tour 4: Full Day San Isidro & Tigre
The northern outskirts of Buenos Aires remain as one of the attractive places to visit. First visit San Isidro, a traditional residential area known for its street’s beauty and its prominent mansions including those constructed during the XVIII century. Afterwards, visit Tigre: the very impressive entrance to the Paraná delta that is fully scattered by islands that can solely be accessed by water, impressive vegetation and houses on pilots that can be appreciated on an hour long motor boat ride along some of its rivers. The journey ends with a Stop at the local handcrafts and fruit supply market (Mercado de Frutos).
Tour 5: A day in the pampas I: San Antonio de Areco
A vivid approach to the well-known Argentinean countryside and its culture. The road leads you to San Antonio de Areco, located at 110 Km away from Buenos Aires to the former colonial border with the natives. Walk along the very well preserved historical centre visiting its main square, the County hall, the main church and the workshops of famous silversmiths (the classic pampas’ artisans). Before noon, drive to one of the area’s significant estancia were we enjoy an exquisite criollo lunch. Different activities can be performed during the afternoon: from horseback riding to walks, birds watching and during the summer the enjoyment of the swimming pool. Before heading back to a Buenos Aires that awaits, a typical countryside “tea” is provided.
Tour 6: A day at the pampas II: Luján
An ideal trip to leave the city at a scarcely explored by international tourism area. Once in Luján city, visit the very impressive basilica, the sanctuary of the virgin that patronages Argentina and the local historical museum. Afterwards -and only some kilometers away from Luján city- the historical estancia “Los Talas”, provides the original scenery for the enjoyment of home made Pampas food. This estancia allows not only full enjoyment of the countryside life but also treasures a very peculiar feature: an outstanding library of 40.000 volumes amongst which you can find unique publications and incurables from the XVII century and on.
