Description
This famous institution is a must-see for any visitor. An old-school brasserie that is still frequented by locals - especially in the morning for their cafes & medialunas. This is Argentina's oldest cafe, established in 1858. It was a famous hangout for crowds both politically inclined or more artistic in nature. Today the cafe exults Argentina's history and tradition, proudly displaying artifacts from the past. Despite its high profile with tourists, the menu has maintained reasonable prices. Jazz and tango performances take place in the back salon while pool tables provide entertainment in the adjacent room.
