Casa Alfaro, formerly known as 'Como en Casa' is a typical "porteño" house from the early 20th century. The newly remodeled building features antique decor on the inside which conveys the history that is apparent from the exterior of the building. Continuing to the backyard you will find attractive gardens surrounded by patios and terraces where guests can relax and enjoy the outdoors in Palermo Viejo.
The friendly staff here is English-speaking so you won't need to brush up on your Spanish. A cozy living room lies adjacent to the front desk with a cable TV and VCR. It is also a good place for guests to gather and share their stories from day's adventures. There is a comfortable dining room where guests can enjoy their breakfast or make use of the kitchen to prepare other meals. Casa Alfaro provides a 24 hour concierge service as well as fax and Internet access.

Benefits
Well located in Palermo Viejo, three blocks from Plaza Italia in one direction and La Rural Convention Center in the other.

Although rooms are basic, Casa Alfaro provides acceptable, affordable accommodation in an otherwise upscale neighborhood.

Rooms
There are 12 rooms and a family suite in this B&B, all are decorated in a simple style providing adequate comfort to guests. Each of the rooms has a view of either the Spanish patios and the terrace or the garden. The rooms are small but very clean, and come equipped with basic amenities such as shampoo and soap. The basic rooms have a shared bathroom, the standard rooms have private bathrooms that are outside the room, and the superior rooms have their own ensuite bathrooms. They are all kept very tidy with decent showers. The family suite has two rooms containing both twin beds and a double bed as well as an en suite bathroom.

Food
Help yourself to the continental breakfast served in the breakfast room. It can be served in your room if you wish, or you are welcome to bring breakfast to your room yourself. Breakfast includes coffee, tea, milk, a variety of breads, toasts, donuts, fruits, and any kind of marmalades.

Children
Children are welcome here. The large suite is a perfect option for families traveling with small children.
