Bobo Hotel

Argentina > Buenos Aires > Hotels > Bobo Hotel

Description
This self-described 'bourgeois bohemian' hotel is that indeed - with a touch of class. The original concept of two brothers from Buenos Aires, the Bobo is an old town house that has recently been refurbished to include modern, elegant decor, while maintaining the structure and charm of this 1927 house. At the entrance of the hotel is the Bobo Restaurant which exudes sophistication and is often filled with suits conducting business. This is a delightful option for those looking for a touch of class in this fantastic bohemian neighborhood.

Insider Tips
Reserve the Argentina Room if you can. Rooms in front may be a bit noisy.

Make your reservations far in advance. This hotel tends to book up quick.

Benefits
Friendly, English-speaking staff.

Elegant restaurant with a fine wine selection.

With only 7 rooms this hotel has an exclusive, neighborhood feel that is enhanced by a school located next-door.

Drawbacks
This hotel caters to business people which can result in a deceptively formal atmosphere.

The location is a few blocks away from the most concentrated area of the bars and restaurants in Palermo. At night you may need to call a taxi.

Rooms
Each of the seven rooms is unique and portrays an elegantly displayed theme. From the 'Classic' room to the 'Techno' room, there remains a common link of comfort and creativity. Large comfortable beds and modern bathrooms with the usual amenities are present in all rooms and some have a private deck (although the view is rather ordinary). The Argentina room is the largest of the bunch and includes a private jacuzzi and DVD player. A/C, Cable TV, wireless Internet, and parking are all included. Room service and dry cleaning are also available.

Food
An abundant breakfast including yogurt, fruit salad, pastries and brownies is included in the price and served in the restaurant downstairs. If you are craving a change, American style bacon and eggs can be whipped up on demand. The restaurant is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner and presents an eclectic menu prepared by chef Nicolas Tomaselli. It is reasonably priced including salads, pastas and larger dishes.

Rates
Doubles US$90-110; Suites US$130. Includes breakfast but not taxes.
