Description
This Bed & Breakfast has a colourful history. At the end of the 19th century this house was donated by a French noblewomen to serve as a convent. Over a hundred years later, this family-run B&B now stands in its place in the heart of Palermo, a neighborhood immortalized by Jose Luis Borges. This self-described 'designer B&B' has been stylishly decorated with a modern artistic flare. Throughout the house the walls have been decorated in various warm shades of yellow. Large frescos depicting stunning countryside views make the common areas seem like they go on forever. You can sit at the breakfast table and imagine yourself overlooking the grounds of a Roman estate. There are reading areas, meeting rooms and an executive lounge with fax and internet access.

Well located in the Palermo district, this B&B gives you a feel for what its like to live amongst the trendy locals.

Drawbacks
Although the corridors are narrow, the public areas are very comfortable.

Only the Superior rooms have ensuite bathrooms.

Rooms
All 15 rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, central heating, mini bar, cable TV, telephone and a safety deposit box. Malabia house is a mixture of antique and a very modern decoration. The rooms provide ample space and are elegantly decorated with a combination of antique and modern decor - each one is unique. The beds here are comfortable and inviting. The bathrooms are quite small but pleasant. Each comes equipped with luxurious towels and the usual amenities.

Food
A continental breakfast buffet is included and served in the dining room each morning. The breakfast includes coffee, tea, milk, toasts, any kind of fruits, jam, cheese and a variety of marmalades. Guests can enjoy breakfast in their room if they wish.

Children
Children are welcome at Malabia House. The marble stairs on the staircase could be dangerous though so let them know in advance and they will reserve a room on the first floor to avoid any problems.
