Getting There Bariloche is the main hub for the surrounding Patagonia Lake District so there are plenty of daily flights to and from the city. The airport is about 15 km east of the city. Taxi fare is inexpensive but there is also a bus that will take you into town.
Via Bariloche provides bus service from Buenos Aires and other parts of the country with several departures daily. The bus station is located on the Eastern outskirts of town at Av. 12 de Octubre 2400.
Getting Around The town of Bariloche itself is fairly small and can be covered on foot. We highly recommend renting a car for at least one day of your stay in Bariloche. This will allow you to plan your own schedule and spend as much time as you'd like admiring the views from the surrounding areas. Here are some recommended options:

Note:Stray dog’s wander all over the city and the outskirts. Please be careful if you rent a car as they often run out into the middle of the road without warning.
