About Mendoza

Situated at the foothill of the Andes, the town of Mendoza and its people have long been identified with viticulture and winemaking. The increasing foreign investment and popularity of Argentinean wines has recently put Mendoza on tourists' maps. More and more people are discovering these inexpensive finds  surrounded by beautiful scenery and a wealth of outdoor activities. Whether its rafting the Mendoza river or skiing the internationally acclaimed hills of Las Leñas, there is something for everyone in this picturesque town.

Best Time to go

Mendoza is best enjoyed during the summer months of November - April when the warmer weather permits outdoor activities such as hiking and climbing. This also coincides with the harvest, symbolized by Vendimia, the wine harvest festival celebrated every year in Mendoza on the first Saturday of March. The fall months of April and May are also an excellent time to visit Mendoza when the trees are turning colours around the vineyards with the snow-capped mountains rising from above. During the winter months, visitors can head to Las Leñas to take advantage of the powder.
